venue: Mongolia Hotel - one of the most beautiful location to see the nature & traditional side of UB.

that's my stack of cash here.... 10 million mnt!!
on a side note, mongolian tugrik smells like lamb.

Here's my 2 other colleagues from work.
JM on the left, a girl who gets hiccups when she eats spicy food, & Nellie, in the middle who speaks fluent french and loves the chinese word 好啊!( it means GOOD!)

I think I'm getting really paranoid and always imagining that some ugly and big fly is on me as there are way too much here. World of insects... ew.  Might have to visit the psychologist after a year. Other than that, weathers pretty nice in UB at the moment, guess I'll start to shop for some cashmere n be prep for the -30 degrees winter.. really not looking forward to it -_-

At the same time, I'm planning a trip to get out of the country due to visa issues... any suggestions?I have Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing or Hong Kong ( again..) on my list now! Would want to visit Russia before it gets cold too.....

hmm.....on verra! neways, gotta bounce!

the mongolian side of berlin.

Walked out of the office one day and saw the wall across the street full of graffiti. Made me thought of the Berlin wall. Went to the post office to pick up some boxes I mailed over from home, and just couldn't help photo whore a bit ; )

Having so much problems communicating with the locals. Thank god I took drama lessons in high school... my body language is super. Speaking with the locals = retarded, big motion body language! & of course I learn a bit of mongolian bit by bit...
yes is ' teem' and no is ' ogwee' :D

Since I eat greasy chinese food everyday here at work, my friends& colleagues and I decided to check out the only French Bistro in town, and it was pretty good ( and overpriced!!). I had an onion soup and sea salted bone marrow.. super yum and fatty! The escargots were better than i thought.. oh god i love eating.

His name is Danny and he only drink glass bottled water because he thinks the chemicals in the plastic bottles will contaminate the water.

Got bored after lunch and decided to get a mani/pedicure.... thinking everything in UB( Ulaanbaatar) should be cheap.. but turned out paying more than in Hong Kong. My friend got a massage and ended up paying about 75USD in a developing country. The Thann Spa was really nice though, so yea what ever...

Random fact: I drink like early 3 litres of water per day here in UB cause its just soooo dried.  Feel like I'm gonna get alligator skin soon.

Here's a pic of us in berlin back in 2009 new years!

much love,

eating, sleeping, & back to eating.

I think I gained about 3 pounds after this trip.

The highlights of my business trip was to eat and pig out in very nice restaurants and cafes in HK and Singapore.

First recommendation top of my list in Hong Kong is the renowned lobby of the Hong Kong Peninsula Hotel. Sadly, we went there for breakfast as our schedule was a bit tight. Usually from lunch time onwards, the lobby is packed with tourists and high-tea lovers. At a certain time of the day, there's also a live band playing classy music, perfect match with a nice cup of coffee and a tea set! oh, and just remember, no reservations allowed!

If you happen to stay in Kowloon side, go check out Peninsula's Salon de Ning lounge too. Its one of my favs in town. So chilled and cozy, plus they have a live jazz band and really special cocktails! ( entrance is on ground floor shopping mall next to Hermès)

Talking of hotels, I stayed at the Langham Hotel for a night, the room was okay...more like a 4 star standard. Don't bother showing you the rooms since its nothing special, but one thing to mention is that they have really pretty amenities! Look!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Went to so many restaurants I don't even remember all their names. We went to Universal Studios for 2 hours and had lunch at the Chinese restaurant ( Feng Shui Inn) of the Resorts World Sentosa Hotel.
what i wanted to show you all is the fish we had.

3 kg of this Malaysian fish named " Wang Bu Liao 忘不了" ( in english it means, "can't forget" ) worth 3000 Singapore dollars ( approx. 2500 USD).  HOLY MOLY. I was pretty shocked when the waitress told us the price, I mean who eats such expensive fish!!! such a ripoff!!! but yea, my colleagues decided to order it, and it really taste like... steamed fish. haha. okay, it was quite yum and tender but for that price... hell no! I'm sure this fish was unforgettable.

alright gotta get back to work. ewww!

Shangri-La

Just got back from a business trip! Got the chance to stay at the Shangri-La in Hong Kong and Singapore, and it was pretty naicee. Check out my Deluxe rooms!
Island Shangri- La Hotel  Pacific Place,
Supreme Court Road, Central,
Hong Kong

Island Shangri-La, Deluxe Room toilet

All amenities from the Hong Kong Island Shangri-La were from L'Occitane. The bed and pillows were extremely comfy, and the hotel is right above a shopping mall, Pacific Place. By the way, L'Occitane's Shea Butter hand cream is really good. Perfect for winter!

Shangri-La Hotel Singapore

So on my way to Singapore, I chipped my nail, and it was really ugly and irritating. After spending half a day asking people if they have a nail clipper with them, I called the reception at 2 am and asked for one. Within 5 minutes a housekeeper knocked on my room with a free metal nail clipper : ) Such efficient service in the middle of the night! Who would've have guessed that hotel supplies nail clippers at 2am man! After that, I ordered room service, and my hainan chicken rice came in 10 -ish minutes!  I was impressed. Although the Singapore Shangri-La is less pretty than the HK one ( the Singapore hotel was Shangri-La's first baby, which was opened in 1971!), both hotel's breakfast buffet provided a wide selection of food choices with very professional services.

If you happen to be traveling soon, and would like to stay in a nice 5 star comfy room, try out the Shangri-La Hotel chain! They have 71 hotels all over the world!

more pictures to come next from my trip! A lot of good food and adventures!

rainy rainy day.

amy winehouse... :(

when i saw the video of her last show in belgrade... it was beyond heartbreaking. i couldn't even bare to watch it. she's always been my favorite singer. her lyrics, her songs.. everything. loved everything.

and everyone says that they could see this coming. i can see why. but i didn't think it would.. i always thought she would recover and it was just a matter of time.

still speechless.

Miu Miu Fashion Show Pictures!

the miu miu event was not bad. they rented out 5 floors (86th, 87th, 91st-93rd!)from the park hyatt in shanghai! there were cabaret shows going on, several different bars... it was pretty extravagant.  i think the models had to walk on 3 or 4 floors. must've been... so tiring.

so here's my makeup from the miu miu fashion show. it looked a lot more impressive in person really. i guess i have to make it a lot more dramatic next time :P

---------------------------------------------------------------------

and here's are some really shitty shots. i have a bad camera, and slow reflexes so bear with me.

not sure who this model is. but her hair and outfit were so fabulous. but generally, the whole collection was extremely retro, big shoulders, granny prints, glitter. personally, i thought it was cute. nothing spectacular, but cute.
i think i was more starstruck by all the models there. i missed du juan, but here's one of tao okamoto. of course, another super blurry shot. but she was so beautiful and slender :)

ok... it really is a terrible photo. but if you're looking for better photos of the collection, visit the official miu miu website! they've got some fantastic pictures. duh.

and finally... i saved the best for last. i got a picture with lindsey wixson!! i wasn't a big fan of her's before. i thought her face was way too doll-like, round and just... kind of unreal. it looked so fake. and bla bla bla. but then i saw her in person and she was absolutely breathtaking! her features don't really look that exaggerated in person. her face wasn't puffy or anything at all... and compared to her body... she was like 8-9 heads tall or something. my god. ENVY! so enough talk, and here's the picture...

wowwww. can i say... perfect in every possible way??? in terms of appearance at least?i look like such a gnome next to her. my aunt is in the middle, she designed my dress. and yea it's another bad shot of it. her brand is called poesia, visit her website! her designs are colorful and amazeballs!

so i hope to make a... better post soon...

peace and lots of loveeeee ♥
