eating, sleeping, & back to eating.

I think I gained about 3 pounds after this trip.

The highlights of my business trip was to eat and pig out in very nice restaurants and cafes in HK and Singapore.

First recommendation top of my list in Hong Kong is the renowned lobby of the Hong Kong Peninsula Hotel. Sadly, we went there for breakfast as our schedule was a bit tight. Usually from lunch time onwards, the lobby is packed with tourists and high-tea lovers. At a certain time of the day, there's also a live band playing classy music, perfect match with a nice cup of coffee and a tea set! oh, and just remember, no reservations allowed!

If you happen to stay in Kowloon side, go check out Peninsula's Salon de Ning lounge too. Its one of my favs in town. So chilled and cozy, plus they have a live jazz band and really special cocktails! ( entrance is on ground floor shopping mall next to Hermès)

Talking of hotels, I stayed at the Langham Hotel for a night, the room was okay...more like a 4 star standard. Don't bother showing you the rooms since its nothing special, but one thing to mention is that they have really pretty amenities! Look!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Went to so many restaurants I don't even remember all their names. We went to Universal Studios for 2 hours and had lunch at the Chinese restaurant ( Feng Shui Inn) of the Resorts World Sentosa Hotel.
what i wanted to show you all is the fish we had.

3 kg of this Malaysian fish named " Wang Bu Liao 忘不了" ( in english it means, "can't forget" ) worth 3000 Singapore dollars ( approx. 2500 USD).  HOLY MOLY. I was pretty shocked when the waitress told us the price, I mean who eats such expensive fish!!! such a ripoff!!! but yea, my colleagues decided to order it, and it really taste like... steamed fish. haha. okay, it was quite yum and tender but for that price... hell no! I'm sure this fish was unforgettable.

alright gotta get back to work. ewww!

Shangri-La

Just got back from a business trip! Got the chance to stay at the Shangri-La in Hong Kong and Singapore, and it was pretty naicee. Check out my Deluxe rooms!
Island Shangri- La Hotel  Pacific Place,
Supreme Court Road, Central,
Hong Kong

Island Shangri-La, Deluxe Room toilet

All amenities from the Hong Kong Island Shangri-La were from L'Occitane. The bed and pillows were extremely comfy, and the hotel is right above a shopping mall, Pacific Place. By the way, L'Occitane's Shea Butter hand cream is really good. Perfect for winter!

Shangri-La Hotel Singapore

So on my way to Singapore, I chipped my nail, and it was really ugly and irritating. After spending half a day asking people if they have a nail clipper with them, I called the reception at 2 am and asked for one. Within 5 minutes a housekeeper knocked on my room with a free metal nail clipper : ) Such efficient service in the middle of the night! Who would've have guessed that hotel supplies nail clippers at 2am man! After that, I ordered room service, and my hainan chicken rice came in 10 -ish minutes!  I was impressed. Although the Singapore Shangri-La is less pretty than the HK one ( the Singapore hotel was Shangri-La's first baby, which was opened in 1971!), both hotel's breakfast buffet provided a wide selection of food choices with very professional services.

If you happen to be traveling soon, and would like to stay in a nice 5 star comfy room, try out the Shangri-La Hotel chain! They have 71 hotels all over the world!

more pictures to come next from my trip! A lot of good food and adventures!

rainy rainy day.

amy winehouse... :(

when i saw the video of her last show in belgrade... it was beyond heartbreaking. i couldn't even bare to watch it. she's always been my favorite singer. her lyrics, her songs.. everything. loved everything.

and everyone says that they could see this coming. i can see why. but i didn't think it would.. i always thought she would recover and it was just a matter of time.

still speechless.

Miu Miu Fashion Show Pictures!

the miu miu event was not bad. they rented out 5 floors (86th, 87th, 91st-93rd!)from the park hyatt in shanghai! there were cabaret shows going on, several different bars... it was pretty extravagant.  i think the models had to walk on 3 or 4 floors. must've been... so tiring.

so here's my makeup from the miu miu fashion show. it looked a lot more impressive in person really. i guess i have to make it a lot more dramatic next time :P

---------------------------------------------------------------------

and here's are some really shitty shots. i have a bad camera, and slow reflexes so bear with me.

not sure who this model is. but her hair and outfit were so fabulous. but generally, the whole collection was extremely retro, big shoulders, granny prints, glitter. personally, i thought it was cute. nothing spectacular, but cute.
i think i was more starstruck by all the models there. i missed du juan, but here's one of tao okamoto. of course, another super blurry shot. but she was so beautiful and slender :)

ok... it really is a terrible photo. but if you're looking for better photos of the collection, visit the official miu miu website! they've got some fantastic pictures. duh.

and finally... i saved the best for last. i got a picture with lindsey wixson!! i wasn't a big fan of her's before. i thought her face was way too doll-like, round and just... kind of unreal. it looked so fake. and bla bla bla. but then i saw her in person and she was absolutely breathtaking! her features don't really look that exaggerated in person. her face wasn't puffy or anything at all... and compared to her body... she was like 8-9 heads tall or something. my god. ENVY! so enough talk, and here's the picture...

wowwww. can i say... perfect in every possible way??? in terms of appearance at least?i look like such a gnome next to her. my aunt is in the middle, she designed my dress. and yea it's another bad shot of it. her brand is called poesia, visit her website! her designs are colorful and amazeballs!

so i hope to make a... better post soon...

peace and lots of loveeeee ♥

HOLY SHIT! i just moved to Mongolia!

Сайн байна уу everyone! that means hello btw, in mongolian...
At the MN airport with half of my luggage : )

I just moved to Ulaan Baatar in Mongolia few days ago for work, and it's pretty damn beautiful here! Brought so much stuffs over as i assume they don't have anything here.... hehe
will probably stay here for a year or so, and discover the country a bit!
When i first got the job offer, i was like wtf!? what the hell are there in Mongolia... but I decided to take the risk and adventure a bit when I'm still young : P

The city is not really developed yet, a lot of flies everywhere, broken floors, dusty and old school looking buildings. Mongolians reminds me of Koreans, they look quite similar, let me take a picture of my colleague next time and show you guys. Been pretty language bummed here.... as they don't understand english.. thank god I'm good at body language. Whenever I'm at the super market or at the department store looking for towels, mosquito repellent or whatever, i look like a retard trying to act it out.

Second day I arrived, we had a work outing to the suburbs to experience the nature, the local mongolian lamb lunch and horse riding!!fuck yeaaa... it was fun, but i didn't know we had such event until i was informed at lunch, so me and my two colleagues were in full business attire when everyone else was in casual wear.. - _ -
Take a deep breathe, and enjoy the view!

haha. riding with style with heels :)

--------------------------------------------------------

oh my , we had hotpot tonight with the whole team.... and i stuffed myself with so much lamb/beef, and other fatty food, i took a little nap right after i got home! Look at our lovely table full of food!!
Chinese/Mongolian Hotpot at The Bull in Ulaan Baatar, if you happen to visit the city, go try it out. They've got some pretty fresh meat there!

all right, thats it for now. Gotta go to bed and get up at 6-ish tomorrow for work!

ciao xx

more pictures and way back when

so i uploaded pictures joyce and i took on friday :) we look cute i think. but it's kind of obvious i've had a bit to drink... considering i can't focus on anything and it's so apparent in these pictures.
random bitch in the top right hand corner. shouldn't have encouraged her like that. and according to the middle left picture, joyce.. you try too hard :P i mean, you're obviously still 超大美人. Oh btw, if you're in hong kong, volar is a club that you should avoid i think. it's fucking pretentious and elitist (like most other clubs in hk) ^so i left the bottom text just fyi.

--------------------------------------------------

and also, a picture of my sweetest, bestest girls... especially FION (who urged me to put this photo up).
so cute :) i love them. oh so very much.

--------------------------------------------------

and to end... well, i can't believe i'm going to put this photo up. but i know you'll get a good laugh from it, whoever you are. and that's an issue that i want to bring up. observe. i be the one second from the left ._.
this fucking photo. 11-12 year old us. can someone please explain to me how come no one just came out and said, hey... you kinda look like shit. i mean, fuck yea it's funny. but it's fucking embarrassing! and i still get teased about 12-14 year old me. god... i look like such a young nerdy boy who games way too much. /rant
my point being... that i think i have learnt from this photo, no matter the age or any other circumstances... it is best to straight up tell people if they look fug. obviously in a much more pc and kind manner though.

--------------------------------------------------

anyway! should get back to work. been trying to design carpets and whatnot all day. and honestly right now, i just want to be like these guys...
hell yea.

peace and love xx

Some Pictures

so i finally decided to sync some of the photos on my phone to my computer and thought... i should probably write something before joyce yells at me (;

so these photos go back as far as... april (which really isn't that long ago... whatevs).

so in april, i went to nyc. and visited the empire state building again. it was so fucking windy and there were so many people there -_- so here's the view from the building. unfortunately it's not a very good photo, but you get the idea.

and i bumped into a stud up there (; <3 no not really. we went together.
sadly, i do not have joyce's skills when it comes to 自拍 (translation: taking photos of oneself ;P) i always cut myself off the photo...

back in shanghai. went back to work, bars, clubs... same old same old. i have a photo of one of the bars that has really colorful decor. it's a mexican bar called chicha, and is in sinan mansions. and here it is..

the drinks aren't very good. but if you happen to be in shanghai, there are quite a few bars in the sinan mansions area. apothecary, the alchemist, boxing cat brewery... they're all not bad. apothecary is probably the best for whisky cocktails though! awesome :)

and then i took a trip to taipei. and all we did there was eat. honestly. i must've gained 10lbs there.

so on the top we have some food from the night market in taichung. stinky tofu, fried chicken and all that good taiwanese food (; and on the bottom is a plate of crickets. i had to put up a picture. they were not tasty. yea, it's not surprising :P

finally, just last weekend i was in hong kong for my job. and finally saw joyce :)
we obviously wasted no time camera whoring (i have major paris hilton eye in this picture ._. ew)... god, we have some many other cute photos but i'm too lazy to scan them in (HINT JOYCE).

and last night i saw my awesome friend, mish/meesh/mimi :) and she brought some funny ass, embaressing fucking photos to dinner. so i leave you with this photo of me and mish, looking very LGBTQ. it's... ridiculous hahaha.

until next time :)
take care kiddies xx

Saturday 2 July 2011

KL0889 bringing me home.

I don't like to say good bye.

I'm at Geneva airport now, Gate A8, writing this post. My boyfriend just dropped me off, and we promised not to be all sobby and make a big good bye thing trying to minimize the impact of sadness. I guess it'll hit me soon no matter how hard I'm trying to hold it now.

After 5 years living in Lausanne, I must say I know this place pretty well, and I enjoyed my time here. Switzerland is a very calm and chilled country. It may be boring at times, but I had a blast throughout my university life.

La Rouvenaz, Beau Rivage brasseur, Lausanne Palace bar, Petit Beouf, Holy Cow, Brasseur, Nespresso, Nomad, Black Pearl, Casino...... to all my beloved restaurants, cafes, and clubs, I'll have to say goodbye for now.
But not to my bf Patrick, cause I know I'll see him soon : )

Barcelona pix up soon, and....
I'm coming home!!!!!!!!!

Montreux, Geneva Lake view.

much love,
